Dr. Chen has invested in up-to-date dental technology and continues to stay current with continuing education and new advances.
Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays offer many benefits for both our doctor and our patients. Comfortable digital sensors allow us to capture images that are clearer and have better detail, which allows for more accurate diagnosis. Images are also immediately available for Dr. Chen to review with you. The digital images provided by digital x-rays are also easy to transfer and share with other important providers if necessary.
Digital x-rays offer less exposure to radiation than x-rays taken in the past – approximately 80% less, which amounts to about as much exposure as you get spending a day outside in the sun. There is also less harm done to the environment since there are no harsh chemicals needed for development.
Intraoral Camera
“A picture is worth a thousand words.” This saying is so true when it comes to your dentistry because it’s so much easier for you to select the right treatment for your needs when you can see exactly what’s going on in your mouth.
Our intraoral camera is a tiny device that fits comfortably inside your mouth and delivers full color images of your teeth and gums to the television screens in our treatment rooms. This allows you and Dr. Chen to discuss your treatment needs together so you have a better understanding of the recommendations he makes for your oral health.
Rotary Endodontics
Rotary endodontics utilizes tools that are electric and made of a flexible nickel-titanium alloy. These specialized instruments make it easier to remove infected tissue from within the canal of your tooth. Using rotary endodontics means your root canal is more comfortable and treatment can be completed in a much more efficient manner, meaning less time in the dental chair for you.
